U.S. News & World Report Ranks NWU a Top Regional University

NWU is ranked among the top 10 percent of colleges and universities named to U.S. News & World Report's list of regional universities - midwest category. The annual college rankings were released September 12.

U.S. News & World Report has named Nebraska Wesleyan University a top regional university.

NWU is ranked among the top 10 percent of the colleges and universities named to the Regional Universities – Midwest category in the annual college rankings, which were released September 12.

Nebraska Wesleyan ranked 16th on the list of 165 schools. NWU joins Creighton University, which tops the list.

The Regional Universities category includes schools that provide a full range of undergraduate majors and master’s programs. In addition to its traditional undergraduate offerings, Nebraska Wesleyan offers graduate programs including MBA, MSN/MBA, MSN to MBA Bridge, MSN and M.Ed. NWU will add its newest graduate program, a Master of Social Work, beginning fall 2019.

U.S. News & World Report compares nearly 1,400 colleges and universities in the country. Colleges and universities are divided into categories that reflect the school’s size and philosophy. U.S. News & World Report uses a variety of input data for consideration including student-faculty ratio, graduation rate, retention rate, peer assessment, financial resources, among others.

In addition to U.S. News & World Report, Nebraska Wesleyan has been ranked as a “best regional college” by The Princeton Review, a “best value” by Forbes, a “best college” by Money Magazine, and has been consistently ranked as a top producer of Fulbright Scholarships.
